Thank you for registering today. Please read the following information. By registering using this form, you are CONFIRMING your attendance on each day you have selected as a panel member. Please remember that panel members are required to maintain ‘good standing’ with the GMC. For our purposes, ‘not in good standing’ and ‘under investigation’ refers to either an interim order being issued and/or conditions or restrictions having been placed on practice by the GMC or employer and/or suspension from the workplace. Any panel member in this unfortunate situation cannot participate and must let us know ASAP. Important to also note that you are required to be on the Specialist register for General Surgery to participate.
Please note that we are unable to accept any further current senior trainees/doctors in training to attend as panel interviewers or observers at the interviews.
Additionally, by registering as a panel member you are confirming that you will not disseminate or share the questions or scoring details outside of the interviews, in order to maintain the confidentiality of the process. And agree to the below:
. I have access to a suitable broadband connection (NB: wired rather than wireless connection recommended)
. I have a laptop or PC (Windows 10 recommended; Tablets not recommended)
. I have a Camera/Headset/Microphone/Speakers
. I have appropriate private space (private room/office).
. I will perform any diagnostic checks to ensure that my connection is not adversely affected by trust firewalls.
. I will ensure that all documentation is stored securely and will be returned/destroyed appropriately at the end of the recruitment event.
. I will ensure that I undergo any relevant interviewer training in preparation for General Surgery Interviews (if required).
